Overview
Joint Admission Committee, Delhi conducts centralised counselling for admission to B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Arch. programs of Delhi Technological University (DTU), Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-D), Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) Main Campus, Netaji Subhas University of Technology East Campus, Netaji Subhas University of Technology West Campus, and Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University.
The notification and rules for Joint Admission Counselling, Delhi 2023 counselling for the session 2023-24 have been released. The registrations will start on May 26, 2023.

Eligibility
Entrance Examination
The candidate must have appeared for JEE (Main) 2023 conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).
Marks in Qualifying Examination
BE/B.Tech at DTU, NSUT, DSEU and IGDTUW
- A candidate must secure 60% or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- The candidate must have passed English as a subject of study at the Senior School Certificate Examination Level (Core or Elective).
- The candidate must have passed in each subject separately.
B.Tech at IIITD
- A candidate must secure 70% or more marks in the aggregate of best of five subjects including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 70% or more in Mathematics.
B.Arch at NSUT and IGDTUW
- A candidate must have secured 50% or more marks in the aggregate of the 10+2 level examination and secure at least 50% marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Relaxation in Marks in Qualifying Examination
For DTU, NSUT, DSEU and IGDTUW
- OBC-NCL category: 5% relaxation
- SC, ST category: 10% relaxation
- Defence category: 5% relaxation
- Differently Abled category: 10% relaxation
For IIITD
- OBC-NCL category: 5% relaxation
- SC, ST category: 10% relaxation
- Defence category: 5% relaxation
- Differently Abled category: 5% relaxation
Age
There is no minimum and maximum age criteria.
State Quota Seat Allocation
Delhi Region (85% seats)
A candidate passing the qualifying examination from a recognized School/ College/ Institute located within the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi will be considered for Delhi Region only.
Also, if a candidate has passed the qualifying examination through National Institute of Open School (NIOS) and his/her centre of examination is located in the NCT of Delhi, the candidate shall be considered under the Delhi Region.
Outside Delhi Region (15% seats)
A candidate passing the qualifying examination from a recognized School/ College/ Institute located outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi will be considered for Outside Delhi Region only.
Also, if a candidate has passed the qualifying examination through National Institute of Open School (NIOS) and his/her centre of examination is located outside NCT of Delhi, he/she shall be considered under the Outside Delhi Region.
Seat Allotment
For DTU, NSUT and IGDTUW
- No separate merit list will be prepared. The provisional seat allotment will be based solely on the All India Rank (CRL) of the candidate in the JEE (Main) 2023 examination as given by NTA.
- For B.E. /B.Tech. programmes, All India CRL Rank in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2023 will be considered.
- For B.Arch. course, All India CRL Rank in Paper-2 of JEE (Main) 2023 will be considered.
- Other than the merit rank, provisional seat allotment will be done by considering all the details provided by the candidate in his/her online application like category, region, minimum qualification eligibility criterion, choices filled etc.
For IIITD
- A separate merit list will be prepared based on percentile score obtained in Paper-I of JEE (Main) 2023 and bonus points for achievements in various areas.

Registration Fee

How to apply
- Visit the JAC Delhi portal and click on Apply Now.
- Register by filling your JEE (Main) Roll No., Date of Birth, Nationality and Class 12th Result Status.
- Provide Bank Account details for refunds (if any).
- Upload the required documents.
- Pay the registration-cum-counselling fee online.
- Login and fill the desired choices.
- Candidates are advised to save the final registration form.
Counselling Procedure
- There will be seven rounds of Online counseling, including one Internal Upgradation Round and one Spot Round.
- All aspiring candidates, who are eligible, are required to register on JAC Delhi portal and pay the registration-cum-counselling fee.
- After successful fee payment, candidates need to fill the desired choices.
- The candidates claiming reservation under Kashmiri Migrant or Defence category, and the candidates claiming Bonus points for IIIT-D, are required to appear for documents verification before online counselling.
- New registrations will be allowed at the beginning of first and third round only.
- After upgradation round, if there are any vacant seats, a Spot round will be conducted.
Filling-in of Choices
- All registered candidates are required to submit their choices of Institute and Branch in order of their preference.
- As per the eligibility of the candidate, available seat information relating to Institute and Branch will be displayed.
- It is important for candidates to carefully prioritise the academic programs while filling-in the choices.
- Candidates can fill in as many numbers of choices in the order of preference as they wish to, from the list of available choices.
- Choices filled by candidates will be locked automatically after the last date of registration. Please note that candidate can change their choices once after Round 2.
Result Declaration
- Result of seat allotment in various rounds will be declared as per the Counseling Schedule.
- Provisional seat allotment will be done on the basis of merit rank, category, region, minimum qualification eligibility criterion and choices filled.
- The selected candidates can take printout of the provisional seat allotment letter after logging into their account on JAC Delhi portal.
Seat Acceptance
- Candidates who are allotted a seat are required to pay the initial amount of admission fee of Rs.95,000 through Online Payment Gateway.
- Allotted candidates can download the Provisional Admission letter from JAC Delhi portal by logging in to their account and must report to the allotted Institute for document verification along with all the requisite documents.
- If a candidate does not pay the Admission fee within the specified period, his/her allotted seat shall stand automatically cancelled and the candidate shall not have any claim on the seat. Such candidates will not be considered in subsequent rounds upto Round 5.
- Candidates who have been admitted already in any round and get upgraded in next round of counselling, are not required to report again.
Upgradation Round
- After completion of Round 5, an internal upgradation of all the admitted candidates will be done.
- Only those candidates who are already admitted and have not withdrawn their admission upto completion of the document verification stage of 5th round of counselling are eligible for upgradation round.

Documents required at time of Reporting
Candidates are required to bring the set of Original documents (wherever applicable) along with one set of self-attested photocopies, to the respective Institute.
- Receipt of the Admission Fee Payment
- Online Registration Form duly signed by guardian/parent and candidate
- Printout of filled locked choices
- Three passport size color photograph
- Printout of the Admit Card of JEE (Main) 2023
- Printout of the Rank Card of JEE (Main) 2023
- Class XII (or equivalent) board marks sheet
- Printout out of Seat Allotment Letter
- Date of birth proof (Class X certificate)
- Bonus Point document (if eligible for IIITD bonus point)
- Reserved category Certificate, if applicable
- Medical Fitness certificate
- PD sub-category certificate, if applicable
- Defence sub-category documents, if applicable
Acceptance Options
Upgrade
Candidates accept the offered seat and indicate that, if admission to an academic program of better/higher preference (as per candidate’s choices) in any Institute is offered, they will accept it. Else, they will continue with the currently accepted academic program. Such candidates will be considered in subsequent rounds of admission.
Freeze
Candidates accept the offered seat and indicate that they are content with the allocated academic program and that they do not want to participate in further rounds of seat allocation. Such candidates will NOT be considered in subsequent rounds of admission.
Branch freezing has to be done online during reporting days of respective round. Program once freezed cannot be reverted and will be treated as final.
Withdraw
- A candidate, who has already accepted a seat allotted by JAC Delhi, can withdraw the seat by submitting a request through JAC Delhi website.
- Candidates who have exercised withdraw option will not be considered for subsequent rounds of seat allotment except Spot Round.
- Candidates who withdraw on or before the last date of withdrawal will get the Seat Acceptance Fee refunded after deduction of Rs. 1,000 as processing charge.
- No request for withdrawal will be entertained after the last date and time of withdrawal.
- Fee refunds for all withdrawals will be processed within 20 days after last date of withdrawal.
Refund Policy
- Candidates who have paid the admission fee and withdraw on or before the last date of withdrawal (July 25, 2023) will get their admission fee refunded after deduction of Rs. 1,000.
- Candidates who are allotted a seat and have paid the admission fee, and then do not report physically for admission at the respective University will get no refund.
