Joint Admission Counselling Delhi (JAC Delhi) 2018

The notification for Joint Admission Counselling, Delhi 2018 counselling for the session 2018-19 is yet to be released.

Joint Admission Counselling, Delhi conducts centralised counselling for admission to B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. programs of Delhi Technological University (DTU), Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-D) and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT).

Eligibility

Region

Delhi Region (85% seats)

A candidate passing the qualifying examination from a recognized School / College / Institute located within the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi will be considered for Delhi Region only.

Outside Delhi Region (15% seats)

A candidate passing the qualifying examination from a recognized School / College / Institute located outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi will be considered for Outside Delhi Region only.

Marks in Qualifying Examination

BE/B.Tech at DTU, NSIT and IGDTUW

A candidate must secure 60 percent or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

The candidate must have passed English as a subject of study at the Senior School Certificate Examination Level (Core or Elective).

The candidate must have passed in each subject separately.

B.Tech at IIITD

A candidate must secure 80 percent or more marks in the aggregate of best of five subjects including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 80% or more in Mathematics.

B.Arch at IGDTUW

A candidate must have secured 50 percent or more marks in the aggregate and have passed Mathematics as a subject in the Senior School Certificate Level Examination.

Relaxation in Marks in Qualifying Examination

For DTU and IGDTUW

  • OBC-NCL category: 5% relaxation
  • SC, ST category: 10% relaxation
  • Defence category: 5% relaxation
  • Differently Abled category: 10% relaxation

For NSIT

  • OBC-NCL category: 10% relaxation
  • SC, ST category: Pass in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
  • Defence category: 5% relaxation
  • Differently Abled category: 10% relaxation

For IIITD

  • OBC-NCL category: 5% relaxation
  • SC, ST category: 10% relaxation
  • Defence category: 5% relaxation
  • Differently Abled category: 5% relaxation

Age

For DTU and IIITD

Applicant must be minimum 17 years and maximum 25 years of age on or before the 01-10-2018.

For NSIT and IGDTUW

There is no minimum age requirement.

Seat Allotment

For DTU, NSIT and IGDTUW

  • No separate merit list will be prepared. The provisional seat allotment will be based solely on the All India Rank (AIR) of the candidate in the JEE (Main) 2018 examination as given by CBSE.
  • For B.E. / B.Tech. programmes, All India Rank in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2018 will be considered.
  • For B.Arch. at IGDTUW, All India Rank in Paper-2 of JEE (Main) 2018 will be considered.
  • Other than the merit rank, provisional seat allotment will be done by considering all the details provided by the candidate in his/her ONLINE application like category, region, minimum qualification eligibility criterion, Choices filled etc.

For IIITD

  • Total marks obtained in Paper I in JEE (Main) 2018, converted to base of 100.
  • Bonus marks (maximum:10). Check eligibility for bonus marks here.
  • The priority list will be based on the total of the above two.

How to apply

  1. Click on Apply Now on JAC Delhi website.
  2. Register by filling your JEE (Main) Roll No., Mobile No. and Email ID.
  3. Pay the registration-cum-counselling fee by Credit / Debit Card / Internet Banking through BillDesk Payment Gateway OR by Cash at any branch of SBI using the SBI eChallan.
  4. After successful fee payment, candidates are required to visit the JAC Delhi website again and click on the New Registration link.
  5. Candidate shall be required to fill in his / her basic details and upload his/her Photograph and signature in JPEG format.
  6. Candidate shall choose a suitably strong “Password” for subsequent logins.
  7. Candidate has to take the printout of the registration form signed by Guardian / Parents and Self. It has to be submitted at the time of admission.

Important Information

Candidate must ensure that Mobile Number and Email Address provided by them must be valid and should belong to the candidate or his/her immediate family members. These will be used by JAC Delhi for any kind of communication with the candidate.
