SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam (SRMJEEE) is conducted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), formerly SRM University for admission to Engineering courses at SRM University, Chennai, SRM University, Amaravati, and SRM University, Sonepat.

Exam Pattern
- It is a Computer-Based Test, and candidates must complete the slot booking for the test. Candidates can take the exam from home.
- The exam will have a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
- There will be five subject sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, English, and Aptitude.
- All the questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), where each question will have four choices, with only one correct option.
- Candidates will be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer.
- There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
- The medium of the question paper will be English.

Eligibility
Nationality
- Candidate must be a Resident Indian to apply for SRMJEEE.
- NRIs and holders of PIO or OCI cards (issued by the Government of India) must apply under the International student category.
Age
- Candidate should have attained the age of 16 years and 6 months by the 31st of July in the calendar year in which the 12th Board examination is to be held.
Qualifying Examination
- Candidate should have either passed or be appearing in the current academic year for class 12th with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following as major subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Engineering Graphics, Botany, or Zoology. This applies to students from any state board within India, CBSE, ICSE, IB, or NIOS.
- International Baccalaureate (IB) with a Diploma, or A-level with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following as major subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, or Engineering Graphics, from any international school within India.
- Candidates must obtain a minimum of 60% aggregate in PCM to be eligible for admission to all B.Tech. programmes, or obtain a minimum of 60% aggregate in PCM/PCB to be eligible for admission to Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, and Genetic Engineering programmes.
- Candidates who have completed both 10th and 12th through NIOS are not considered for admission to any programmes of SRM University.
Syllabus
Mock Test
- An official mock test is made available to candidates appearing for SRMJEEE.
- Candidates can take the mock test to understand the pattern of the computer-based test and familiarize themselves with the interface.
- The mock test is for practice purposes only.

- Only candidates who have taken the mock test will be allowed to take the main examination.

Fees
SRMJEEE 2025 Application Fee is ₹1,400.
Registration
- The registrations for SRMJEEE 2025 are open now.
- The last date to register is April 16, 2025, for Phase I of the exam, June 6, 2025, for Phase II, and June 30, 2025, for Phase III.
Application Procedure
Online Filling with Online Payment
- The aspiring candidate should register at SRM University Applications site and verify his/her email.
- Candidates will need to log in with their credentials and fill out the application form with the required details.
- After filling in the details, the candidate is required to upload the necessary documents.
- Next, the candidate must pay the application fee online to complete the registration process.
- After the successful submission of the application form, an application number will be generated.
- Candidates are advised to save the application form for future reference.
Note
- Candidates who have paid the fees using online modes (Net banking/Debit card/Credit card) are NOT required to send a hard copy of the application form.
- Candidates are required to submit a self-attested scanned copy of their passport-sized photograph and signature.
- The photograph should be 200×230 pixels in size, with a maximum file size of 5MB.
- The signature should be 140×60 pixels in size, with a maximum file size of 5MB.
Application Correction
- Candidates will be provided with a facility to make corrections in their application form particulars.
- This is a one-time facility provided to candidates to avoid any hardship.
- Candidates will be able to edit all the particulars of their online application except for the mobile number and email ID.
- The correction facility will be available as per the notification.
Slot Booking
- Candidates are required to reserve a test date and slot for taking the SRMJEEE examination.
- Slot booking will be done on a first-come-first-served basis.
- Candidates must note that the admit card will not be generated without completing the slot booking.
Hall Ticket / Admit Card
- The hall ticket can be downloaded from the SRM University Applications site after completing the slot booking.
- Please note that the hall ticket will be issued only to those eligible candidates who have submitted their application form, complete in all respects, on or before the last date.
- The hall ticket will contain the candidate’s name, photograph, address, and the test schedule.
Test Centres
SRMJEEE 2025 will be conducted in Remote Proctored Online Mode.
Result / Rank List
- A merit list will be prepared based on the total marks secured in SRMJEEE (UG).
- The examination results and counseling details will be published on the SRMIST website and also communicated to the candidates via email.
- The results will be declared as per the schedule.
Counselling
- The admission will be purely based on the performance in the entrance examination SRMJEEE (UG), provided that the candidate satisfies the eligibility conditions described here.
- Admissions will be done through centralized single window counselling.

Important Information
- Candidates who have not studied Mathematics as one of the subjects in 11th and 12th are eligible only for the Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering programmes.
- Candidates must provide the correct email and mobile number in order to stay updated at every stage of the admission process through SMS/e-mail.
- Candidates attempting Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Aptitude, and English are eligible only for B.Tech. Biotechnology and all its specializations, as well as B.Tech. Biomedical Engineering programmes.
- The selection of subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, Aptitude, and English) must be mentioned in the application form.
