JIIT Noida Admissions 2024
Overview
Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida is a deemed university established in 2001. The institute offers B.Tech. & Integrated M.Tech. courses and the admissions are done through institutional level counselling.
Admissions will be done through:
- Mode 1 – JEE Main Merit
- Mode 2 – Class 12th Merit
UPDATE: JIIT Noida has released the admission notification for the academic year 2024-25 and registrations have started.
The JEE Main mode application form (offline or online for JEE based admissions) is common for all the four Jaypee universities namely JIIT Noida (Sec 62 & Sec 128), JUIT Waknaghat, JUET Guna and JU Anoopshahr. The class 12th mode application form is separate for each university.

Eligibility
Entrance Examination
Only for JEE Main Mode: The candidate must have appeared for JEE (Main) 2024 conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).
Qualifying Examination
- The candidate should have passed or appeared in the 10+2 examination or its equivalent with with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, and Entrepreneurship as optional subject.
- Candidate should have scored a minimum of 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST) in aggregate in 10+2 or its equivalent examination.
Age
Candidate should be born on or after October 1, 2003.
Special Conditions for Direct Admission
- JIIT Noida will be conducting direct admissions for 20 seats each in four B.Tech programmes namely Electronics-Computer, Mathematics-Computing, Electronics (VLSI) and ECE (Advanced Communication).
- The candidate needs to fill the Form named “10 + 2 Marks based (Except Biotech) – JIIT Noida” on the Institute’s Admission website and opt for the option to apply for DIRECT ADMISSION Category.
- There is no additional application fee for Direct Admission.
- Admission will be offered on aggregate 10+2 marks in Mathematics, Physics, and any third subject.
- Candidate confirming admission will not be eligible for admission under any other category of BTech/ Integrated MTech programmes at JIIT.
- No change of branch/ program will be permitted once a seat is allotted under direct admission.
Criteria of Selection
- Admissions for the JEE Main mode (50% seats) will be based on the All India Rank obtained in JEE (Main) 2024 examination.
- Admissions for the Class 12th mode (50% seats) will be based on the marks obtained in Physics, Mathematics, and any one of Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, and Entrepreneurship in 10+2.
- For the Biotechnology and Bioinformatics programs, 50% of seats shall be allotted through JEE (Main) 2024 All India Rank Merit and the balance 50% seats in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics programs shall be allotted based on class 12th merit for which separate application is required.
Application Fee
The prescribed registration fee for JIIT Noida Admissions is ₹1,200 for each admission mode.
Registration
- The registration for JIIT Noida Admissions will begin on February 1, 2024.
- The last date to register is June 10, 2024 for JEE Main mode and May 31, 2024 for Class 12th mode.
- If a candidate is applying under JEE (Main) mode and also wants to apply under class 12th mode, the candidate must apply separately by paying the required application fee.
Application Procedure
Online Filling (Online Payment)
- The aspiring candidate should register at the JIIT Admissions portal.
- Pay the Examination Fee by Debit/ Credit card/ Net Banking.
- On successful payment, an Application ID number will be allotted.
- Upload the photograph, a signature of the candidate & a signature of the parents and submit.
- Candidates are advised to keep a copy of the filled-in Application Form.
Offline Filling
- Obtain application form and brochure from any of the three campuses of Jaypee by cash payment of Rs.1200 or download the Application form from Jaypee website.
- Send the completed Application Form to “The Registrar, Admission Cell (UG Programs), Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, A-10, Sector-62, Noida – 201309 (U.P)”.
- In case of downloaded form from website, attach a Bank draft of Rs. 1200 made in favor of Jaypee Institutes Admission
Account, payable at Noida/Delhi. - Candidates are also advised to keep a photocopy of the filled-in Application Form.
Merit List
- For JEE Main mode, the merit sequence will be prepared for the applications received based on the overall All India Rank in JEE (Main) – 2024 examination.
- The cut-off rank for the SC/ST candidates under the JEE Main mode will be 10% below the JEE (Main) All India cut-off rank of the General category.
- For class 12th mode, the merit sequence will be prepared for the applications received based on the marks obtained in Physics, Mathematics, and any one of Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, and Entrepreneurship in 10+2.
Counselling
- For JEE Main mode, combined counselling for JIIT Noida, JUIT Waknaghat, JUET Guna, and JU Anoopshahr shall be held on the scheduled date in offline mode at JIIT Sector 62 Noida.
- The counselling date on which a candidate shall be called will be updated on the website for all candidates whose applications are found valid.
- A candidate shall be allowed to exercise the choice of only one University at the time of counselling. No inter-University transfers shall be allowed after the allocation of seat.
- The candidate shall have the option of upgradation in the progams/ branches as per the merit and choices exercised but within the same University.
- The candidate can confirm the seat available or choose to be on the waitlist, at the time, when the rank of the candidate is called as per merit, by depositing Rs. 75,000 (Rs. 50,000 as a partial tuition fee and Rs. 25,000 as non-refundable one time fees).
- After getting the seat, the candidate will be offered Provisional Admission Letter.

Scholarship

Refund Policy
- Candidates wishing to withdraw the seat must submit an Application to the Registrar either by hand or by email.
- The fees shall be refunded to an eligible student within 15 days from the date of receiving the application.
