Overview
The admissions for 4-year B.E./B.Tech. programmes at Jadavpur University, Kolkata are done based on the rank in WBJEE examination through WBJEE counselling.
90% of the General category seats are reserved for West Bengal domicile students and 10% of the General category seats are open for All India students.
Candidates must satisfy additional eligibility requirements for admission to Jadavpur University along with WBJEE Eligibility requirements.

Eligibility
For Engineering and Pharmacy
Entrance Exam
- A candidate needs to take the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) for admission to Engineering courses.
Marks in Qualifying Examination
- Candidate must have passed the Qualifying Examination (10+2 examination) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with obtaining individual pass marks in each of these subjects.
- Candidate must secure a minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together (45% marks for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD candidates).
- Candidate must also secure a minimum of 60% marks in Mathematics (45% marks for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD candidates) and a minimum of 30% marks in English (for all categories of candidates).
For Architecture
Entrance Exam
- A candidate must qualify the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) for admission to the Architecture course.
Marks in Qualifying Examination
- Candidate must have passed the Qualifying Examination (10+2 examination) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with obtaining individual pass marks in each of these subjects.
- Candidate must secure a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together (37% marks for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD candidates).
