DU Delhi Admissions 2024
Overview
Delhi University is a public central university in Delhi established in 1922. The Faculty of Technology, Delhi University offers B.Tech. programmes in various disciplines and admissions are done through institutional level counselling.
Candidates need to apply for Delhi University admissions separately after taking the JEE (Main) 2024 exam. Admissions will be done based on the All India Rank obtained in JEE (Main) 2024.

Eligibility
Entrance Examination
The candidate must appear for one or more sessions of JEE (Main) 2024. Admissions will be done through the merit list released by NTA.
Qualifying Examination
- The candidate must have passed the Class XII or equivalent examination from a recognised Board/University and secured 60% or more marks (55% for OBC-NCL, 50% for SC/ST/PwBD) in an aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- The candidate must also have passed English as a subject of study in the Class XII examination.

- OBC-Non Creamy Layer – 27% seats
- Scheduled Caste – 15% seats
- Scheduled Tribe – 7.5% seats
- Economically Weaker Section – 10% seats
- Persons with Disability – 5% seats (Supernumerary)
- Children/Widows of Personnel of the Armed Forces – 5% seats (Supernumerary)
- Kashmiri Migrants – 1 seat in each program (Supernumerary)
- Single Girl Child – 1 seat in each program (Supernumerary)
- Orphan – 1 Male seat, 1 Female seat (Supernumerary)
- Foreign Nationals – 10% seats (Supernumerary)
Criteria of Selection
- Admissions will be based on the All India Rank obtained in JEE (Main) Paper-1.
Application Fee
The prescribed registration fee for DU Delhi Application Form is as follows:

Registration
- The registration for FoT DU Delhi Admissions 2024 will begin on April 25, 2024.
- The last date to register is May 25, 2024.
- Candidates who fail to register within the stipulated time can participate later through the Mid-Entry window by paying a Mid-Entry fee of Rs. 2500.00 (non-refundable).
How to apply
- Candidates need to apply for JEE (Main) 2024 and take the exam.
- Candidates can then apply for FoT DU by submitting the online admission form on the DU website.
- Candidates are required to submit JEE Main Application Number, Applicant Name, and Date of Birth in the DU online application form.
- Fill up the application form completely, upload the required documents and pay the fees through credit/debit card or net banking.
- Take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
Application Correction
- Candidates can edit their Application Form during the correction window to rectify mistakes (if any).
- Only limited fields will be allowed for editing.
- Candidates can edit their Application Form from May 27 to June 5, 2024.
Merit List
- A merit list is prepared on the basis of rank in JEE (Main) Paper-1 for the candidates who have applied for the DU Admission.
Counselling
- The Admissions will be done as per the applicable reservation of seats and the Merit Rank in JEE (Main) 2024.
- Candidates must provide the choices for programmes in a preferential order.
- If a seat is provisionally allocated, the candidate must “Accept” the allocated seat and report for physical verification of documents as per schedule. After the approval, the candidate will have to pay Rs. 1,00,000 as admission confirmation fee.
- Inactivity by the candidate will be taken as non-acceptance of the allocated seat and such candidates will no longer be able to participateinsubsequent rounds of allocation.
- There will be multiple rounds of seat allotment.
