Overview

Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) Jais is an autonomous institution established by the Government of India in 2008. RGIPT is co-promoted as an energy domain specific institute by six leading Oil Public Sector Units (ONGC, IOCL, OIL, GAIL, BPCL and HPCL) in association with the Oil Industry Development Board (OIDB). It conducts institutional level counselling for admission to its B.Tech and Dual Degree programmes.

Candidates need to apply for RGIPT Amethi admissions separately after taking the JEE (Advanced) 2023 exam.


Eligibility

Entrance Exam

The candidate must qualify JEE (Main) exam OR JEE (Advanced) exam.

NOTE: Seats will be filled based on JEE (Advanced) rank. If seats remain vacant after subsequent rounds of admission through JEE (Advanced), then those vacant seats will be filled based on JEE (Main) rank provided such candidates have obtained a minimum of 80% aggregate marks (75% for SC/ST/PwD) in Class 12.

Marks in Qualifying Examination

The candidate must have secured at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate in qualifying examination (10+2).

NOTE: Seats will be filled based on JEE (Advanced) rank. If seats remain vacant after subsequent rounds of admission through JEE (Advanced), then those vacant seats will be filled based on JEE (Main) rank provided such candidates have obtained a minimum of 80% aggregate marks (75% for SC/ST/PwD) in Class 12.

Criteria of Selection

Admissions will be based on the All India Rank obtained in JEE (Advanced) examination.

Application Fee

₹1200 (₹600 for Female Candidates and SC/ST/PwD Candidates) + 18% GST

Registration

  • The registration for RGIPT Amethi Admissions 2023 will begin on June 5, 2023.
  • The last date to register is July 4, 2023 for Round 1.

How to apply

  1. Visit RGIPT Amethi Admissions website. Choose “Undergraduate” and click on the button “Proceed for Registration”.
  2. Enter the required details and click on “Register”.
  3. Enter the OTP received on mobile and click on “Proceed”.
  4. Login using the Password received on mobile and pay the Application Fee.
  5. After fee payment, fill the other required details including Personal details, Address details, Qualifying Exam details, JEE Advanced details, and Bank details.
  6. Upload the required documents and click on “Save”.
  7. Submit the Registration Form and save the generated RGIPT Application Form for future reference.
