Overview

Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) was conducted by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow for admission to Government / Government Aided / Private Unaided institutions affiliated to the University or some other state Universities of Uttar Pradesh.

From the academic session 2022-23, the UPSEE entrance examination has been discontinued. It has been replaced by National Level exams like JEE Main exam for B.Tech., NATA exam for B.Arch., and CUET for other courses.

UPCET 2024: Check Eligibility | Check Fees

NEW: 20% of the total sanctioned seats for admission in first year of all the courses in all the Institutions affiliated to AKTU shall be open to all the candidates including outside Uttar Pradesh candidates. These seats shall be filled on the basis of JEE Main Merit.

Schedule

NOTE: No entrance exam will be conducted by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University. Admissions to various courses will be done on the basis of performance in respective National Level Exams.

Eligibility

For B.Tech

  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 level examination or its equivalent examination.
  • Candidate must have passed without grace the compulsory subjects (Physics & Mathematics) and one optional subject (Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject).
  • Candidate must have secured an aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates) in the above mentioned three subjects.
  • Admissions to be done on the basis of JEE (Main) Paper-1 rank through UPTAC counselling.

For B.Tech. (Bio-Technology)

  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 level examination or its equivalent examination.
  • Candidate must have passed without grace the compulsory subjects (Physics & Mathematics/Biology) and one optional subject (Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject).
  • Candidate must have secured an aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates) in the above mentioned three subjects.
  • Admissions to be done on the basis of CUET-UG rank through UPTAC counselling.

For B.Tech. (Agriculture Engineering)

  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 level examination or its equivalent examination with Physics & Chemistry OR Agriculture Stream.
  • Candidate must have secured an aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates).
  • Admissions to be done on the basis of CUET-UG rank through UPTAC counselling.

For B.Arch.

  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 level examination or its equivalent examination.
  • Candidate must have passed without grace the compulsory subjects (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics).
  • Candidate must have secured an aggregate of 50% and 50% marks in each compulsory subject.
  • Admissions to be done on the basis of NATA score through UPTAC counselling.

For B.Pharm.

  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 level examination or its equivalent examination.
  • Candidate must have passed without grace the compulsory subjects (Physics & Chemistry) and one optional subject (Mathematics/ Biology).
  • Admissions to be done on the basis of CUET-UG rank through UPTAC counselling.


Syllabus

NOTE: No entrance exam will be conducted by AKTU. Admissions to B.Tech course will be done on the basis of performance in JEE Main Paper-1 and admissions for B.Arch course will be done on the basis of performance in NATA.

Fees

No exam will be conducted by AKTU and Admissions will be based on National level Exams through UPTAC Counselling. Application Fee for UPTAC Counselling is ₹1,000.

Registration

  • The registrations for respective National Level examinations will begin as per their schedule.
  • Candidates need to register for UPTAC Counselling. The registrations are expected to start in June 2024.

Application Procedure

Procedure

  1. Candidates need to visit the UPTAC counselling website and choose a password while filling up the Online Application. After successful submission of the data, an Application number will be generated which will be used for subsequent logins.
  2. Once the candidate has registered, he/she is required to upload scanned images of his/her photograph and signature.
  3. The candidate is then required to pay the Examination Fee which can be done by Credit card/Debit card/Net Banking.
  4. Once the payment is done, Confirmation Page will be generated. Candidates are advised to save it for future reference.

Application Correction

  • Candidates will be provided a facility to make corrections in their application form particulars.
  • It is a one-time facility and is extended to the candidates to avoid any hardship to them.
  • The correction facility will be available after it’s notified.

Test Centres

Admissions

Overview

  • 100% seats in all the courses in the first year for Government/ Government Aided/ Govt. Self Financed Institutes will be filled by respective National Level Test qualified candidates.
  • 85% seats in all the courses for private colleges will be filled by respective National Level Test qualified candidates.
  • 15% of the total sanctioned seats available in Private Institutions will be filled by the Management quota/ NRI candidates.
  • 20% of the total sanctioned seats for admission in first year of all the courses in all the Institutions affiliated to AKTU shall be open to all the candidates including outside Uttar Pradesh candidates. These seats shall be filled on the basis of respective National Level Test Merit.

Categories

UPGE

  • Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution located in the State of U.P. and who do not claim for any reserved category are eligible for admission to all the courses at all the institutions against available General (OPEN) seats.

UPSC / UPST / UPBC

  • Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution located in the State of U.P. and are domicile of U.P. and belong to Schedule Caste (SC) of U.P. / Schedule Tribe (ST) of U.P. / Other Backward Classes of U.P. are eligible for admission against available reserved seats of their category.

UPGD

  • Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution located outside U.P. and whose parents are domicile of U.P. and who have not claimed for any reserved category, are also eligible for admission to courses offered at all institutions under General (OPEN) category.
  • Such a candidate has to produce the domicile certificate of his/her parents (Father OR Mother only) at the time of counselling.

GDSC / GDST / GDBC

  • Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution located outside U.P. and whose parents are domicile of U.P. and who belong to Schedule Caste of U.P. / Schedule Tribe of U.P. / Other Backward classes of U.P. are also eligible for admission against reserved seats of their category.
  • Such candidate has to produce the domicile certificate of his/her parents (Father OR Mother only) and Category Certificate at the time of counselling.

GDDA

  • The domicile requirement to son/daughter is relaxed for Defense personnel settled in U.P. on the date of Entrance Examination after retirement / being disabled in action or Defense personnel killed in action and the dependents settled in U.P. on the date of Entrance Examination.
  • The domicile requirement to son/daughter is relaxed for Defense personnel who are not domicile of U.P. but are posted in U.P. on the date of Entrance Examination.
  • The domicile requirement to son/daughter is relaxed for Employee of All India Services belonging to U.P. cadre.

OSGE

  • Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution located outside U.P. and whose parents are NOT domicile of U.P.
  • Such candidates, along with candidates of other categories, shall be considered only against 20 percent of the sanctioned intake of the first year in Technology / Architecture courses in Private Institutions affiliated to AKTU.
