As per the TOI reports, the JEE Main 2022 exam is expected to be conducted only 2 times this year, and not 4 times like last year. The 1st attempt of the exam will be conducted in April 2022 while the 2nd attempt will be conducted in May 2022.

The exam notification is expected to be released later this month. Last year, students were provided 4 attempts to appear for the exam. The best score of all the attempts was considered for ranking purposes.

Students can apply for either one or both the attempts. The candidates will also be provided with an opportunity to apply for the May exam session after the April exam. Candidates can check the steps to fill the application form here.

Joint Entrance Examination (Main) is an all India common engineering entrance examination which is conducted for admission in various engineering colleges and courses all over the country.

Those candidates who are looking for admissions into undergraduate programmes B.E., B.Tech, B.Arch in NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded technical institutions, institutions funded by several participating State Governments, and several other institutions can apply for the exam.

The JEE (Main) is also an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidates can take if they are seeking admissions to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.
