JEE Main 2022: Eligibility Criteria Announced

National Test Agency (NTA) has announced the eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2022. It is also confirmed that JEE (Main) will be conducted in 2 sessions this year.

There is no age limit for the candidates to appear for the exam though only the candidates who have passed the Class 12/equivalent examination in 2020, 2021, or those who are appearing in Class 12/equivalent examination in 2022, are eligible.

JEE (Main) will comprise of two papers. Paper 1 will be conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B.Tech.) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments. Paper 2 wil be conducted for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning courses in the country.

JEE (Main) is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs. Read more about JEE Main here.

Joint Entrance Examination (Main) is an all India common engineering entrance examination which is conducted for admission in various engineering colleges and courses all over the country.

Those candidates who are looking for admissions into undergraduate programmes B.E., B.Tech, B.Arch in NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded technical institutions, institutions funded by several participating State Governments, and several other institutions can apply for the exam.

The JEE (Main) is also an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidates can take if they are seeking admissions to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.
