MHT CET 2017: Counselling Details

Overview

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra counselling for admissions to the First year of Full Time Professional Undergraduate Technical Courses commenced from June 5, 2017. The Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra conducts the counselling for all candidates who have qualified the MHT CET 2017 exam which was held on May 11, 2017 as well as those who are applying through JEE Main 2017.

The counselling of MHT CET 2017 will take place in three rounds through Centralised Admission Process (CAP) and there will be an additional round for government and government aided institutes only.

Eligibility

Nationality

The Candidate should be an Indian National.

Marks in Qualifying Examination

Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.

Entrance Exam

For Maharashtra candidates, obtained a score in MHT-CET.

For All India candidates, obtained a score in JEE Main Paper I or in MHT-CET.

Application Fee

₹800 (GEN candidates), ₹600 (SC/ST/OBC candidates)

Application Procedure

  1. The aspiring candidate should go to MHT-CET Counselling portal.
  2. Click on the “New Registration” link.
  3. Fill the Application form with the required information & submit.
  4. Upload the scanned passport size photograph and signature.
  5. Pay the application fee.
