How to Check Result
- Visit JoSAA result login portal.
- Enter your JEE Main Application number and Password.
- Click on “Login”.
- Check your Seat Allotment status.
What Next?
- Candidates allocated a seat must accept it and choose one of the Seat Acceptance options (Freeze, Slide, or Float).
- To complete seat acceptance, upload required documents on the JoSAA portal and pay the seat acceptance fee.
- The online reporting window for Round 3 is from July 2, 2025 (5 PM) to July 4, 2025 (5 PM). The last date for fee payment for Round 3 is July 4, 2025 (5 PM). Failure to complete these steps by the deadline will be considered rejection of the allotment offer.
- The Seat Acceptance Fee is ₹30,000 for GEN, GEN-EWS, and OBC-NCL candidates. It is ₹15,000 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates. This fee includes a non-refundable JoSAA processing charge of ₹5,000. For more details on the fee, refer to Notes on Seat Acceptance Fee.
- The seat acceptance fee, excluding the non-refundable JoSAA processing charge, will be adjusted against the admission fee by the admitting institute.
- After document verification, the Reporting Authority will confirm the seat. Once confirmed, the candidate will receive a notification on the online portal.
- If discrepancies are found in uploaded documents, a query will be raised on the candidate’s portal. Respond to this query by the last day, July 5, 2025 (5 PM). Failure to respond will be considered rejection of the allotment offer.
- Candidates who wish to withdraw their seat or exit the allocation process can do so from July 2, 2025 (5 PM) to July 4, 2025 (5 PM).
- For information on specific verification processes when opting for ‘Float’ between IIT and NIT+ systems, refer to Dual Verification.
- Candidates who reject an allocated seat will not be able to participate further in the Joint Seat Allocation process for the academic year 2025-26.
Notes on Seat Acceptance Fee
- Candidates can pay the seat acceptance fee using UPI, Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or an SBI e-challan downloaded from the JoSAA portal.
- Candidates are required to remit the seat acceptance fee only once. If a candidate’s seat is upgraded (due to choosing the Float or Slide option), they are NOT required to pay the fee again.
- If a candidate’s seat is cancelled due to not meeting the eligibility criteria or a discrepancy in the uploaded documents, the fee will be refunded after deducting the non-refundable JoSAA processing charge of ₹5,000.
Dual Verification
- When a candidate chooses the ‘Float’ option and is allocated a seat in an IIT in one round and in the NIT+ System in a subsequent round, their documents and eligibility will be verified again by the NIT+ system.
- Similarly, if a candidate is allocated a seat in the NIT+ System and then in an IIT in a subsequent round, the documents and eligibility will be verified again by the IITs.
- In such cases, candidates must log in to the JoSAA portal to check for and respond to any queries raised by the verifying authority before the specified deadline for that round.
- Candidates do not have to pay any extra seat acceptance fee for dual verification.
- If a candidate fails to respond to queries and the seat is not confirmed, they will lose both the newly allocated seat and the previously accepted seat, and will be out of the JoSAA process.
