JEE Main 2020 April Exam Postponement Update

In continuation to the notification issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA) regarding postponement of the JEE Main 2020 April examination due to COVID-19 breakout, NTA has issued an update.
The exam which was scheduled to be conducted during April 5 – April 11, 2020 is now proposed to be held
in last week of May 2020 between July 18, 2020 to July 23, 2020. Exact dates will be announced after assessing the situation in the coming weeks.
The notification issued by NTA further said “We are hopeful that we would get back to normal relatively soon; but for now, we are closely monitoring the scenario to evaluate if the situation may necessitate any change in the schedule.”

Accordingly, the admit cards for the examinations which were to be issued on March 20, 2020 will now be issued after April 15, 2020 based on the situation at that time.

Joint Entrance Examination (Main) is an all India common engineering entrance examination which is conducted for admission in various engineering colleges and courses all over the country.
Those candidates who are looking for admissions into undergraduate programmes B.E., B.Tech, B.Arch in NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded technical institutions, institutions funded by several participating State Governments, and several other institutions can apply for the exam.
The JEE (Main) is also an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidates can take if they are seeking admissions to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.
