JEE Main 2018: Notification Released

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the notification for JEE (Main) 2018. The online application form fill-up will begin on December 1, 2017. Check other important dates here.

Joint Entrance Examination (Main) is an all India common engineering entrance examination which is conducted for admission in various engineering colleges and courses all over the country.

Those candidates who are looking for admissions into undergraduate programmes BE, B.Tech, B.Arch in NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded technical institutions, institutions funded by several participating State Governments, and several other institutions can apply for the exam.

The JEE (Main) is also an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidates can take if they are seeking admissions to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.

Application Procedure

Procedure

  1. The aspiring candidate should furnish all the details while filling up the Online Application on the JEE (Main) website.
  2. The candidate is required to upload scanned images of his/her photograph & signature.
  3. The candidate is then required to pay the Examination Fee which can be done by Credit card/Debit card/Paytm or e-challan (generated after submission of details in online application form).
  4. Once the payment is done, Acknowledgement Page will be generated. Candidates are advised to save it for future reference.

Note

  • Candidates are required to fill Aadhaar details in the application form. Candidates who don’t have Aadhaar can visit any Aadhaar enrolment centre to get enrolled. Candidates who have enrolled for Aadhaar but have not received Aadhaar should enter 28 digit Aadhaar Enrolment ID.
  • The scanned photograph should be colour or b/w (but clear contrast) with name of the candidate and date of taking the photograph printed on it.
  • The entire application process is online, thus the candidates are not required to send any document to JEE (Main) Secretariat.
