VITEEE 2021: Counselling Details
Overview
Vellore Institute of Technology has released the counselling details for VITEEE 2021. The admission counselling will begin on June 14, 2021. The candidates will be shortlisted based on their rank in VITEEE and will be called for the counselling.
The seat allocation in VIT counselling will be done on the basis of All India Rank (AIR) in VITEEE 2021. Each candidate will be able to attend the counselling once.
In the Phase I of VITEEE 2021 counselling, top 20,000 rank holders will be called while in Phase II, candidates having VITEEE rank between 20,001 and 45,000 will be called.
The counselling is common for VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT Andhra Pradesh and VIT Bhopal. Candidates can select the campus of their choice at the time of counselling based on the ranking.

Entrance Examination
- The candidate must have appeared for VITEEE 2021 to be eligible for admission.
Date Of Birth
- Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1999 are eligible.
Performance in Qualifying Examination
- Candidates should have either passed or shall be appearing in 2021 for the qualifying examination (Class 12).
- Candidates should have secured a minimum aggregate of
60%55% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths/Biology in class 12. - For SC/ST candidates and candidates from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh/ Arunachal Pradesh/ Assam/ Manipur/ Meghalaya/ Mizoram/ Nagaland/ Sikkim/ Tripura, the minimum marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Maths/Biology in class 12 put together should be
50%45%.
Counselling Location
The counselling will be held online through VIT counselling portal as per the counseling schedule and candidates are not required to report at any counselling center.

Counselling Procedure
- There will be a single window online counselling for all the B.Tech programmes at Vellore / Chennai / Bhopal (MP) / Amaravathi (AP).
- Candidates who have been shortlisted for a particular counselling phase need to pay a non-refundable counselling fee of Rs.5900 in the counselling portal before the due date specified for that counselling phase.
- After the payment of counselling fee, the candidate can participate in the online counselling process, and fill in his/her choice of campus, programme and category.
- The admission will be done on the basis of candidate’s All India Rank (AIR) in the entrance examination (VITEEE) and the availability of seats.
- To confirm the allotment, the candidate has to either pay a part of the tuition fee or the full fee before the last date of that counselling phase.
- Allotment of Branch and Campus once made is final and cannot be changed under any circumstances.
