Overview

Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE) Visakhapatnam is an institute of national importance established by the Government of India in 2016. It conducts institutional level counselling for admission to its B.Tech programmes.

Candidates need to apply for IIPE Visakhapatnam admissions separately after taking the JEE (Advanced) 2022 exam.

Entrance Exam

The candidate must qualify JEE (Main) and then take JEE (Advanced) exam.

Marks in Qualifying Examination

For admission to IIPE, a candidate should satisfy at least one of the following two criteria:-

Must have secured at least 75% aggregate marks in the Class XII (or equivalent) Board examination. For SC, ST and PwD candidates, the aggregate marks should be at least 65%.
Must be within the category-wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates in his/her respective Class XII (or equivalent) board examination.
