International Institute of Information Technology, Bhubaneswar is a state university established in 2006 and located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It takes admission through JoSAA/ CSAB Counselling for Open-to-All category (50% seats) and conducts institutional level counselling for Odisha Category Seats (50% seats).

Odisha Category (50% Seats)
Entrance Examination
The candidate must appear for one or more sessions of JEE (Main) 2023. Admissions will be done through the merit list released by NTA.
Marks in Qualifying Examination
- Candidates should have secured at least 60% in the class 12th examination or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
- Candidates also need to secure at least 45% in individual subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry).
- Note: 5% relaxation in marks would be given to the candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

Reservations Eligibility for Odisha Category (50% Seats)
Unreserved (UR)
For admission under the UR category, a candidate has to satisfy any one of the following criteria:
- The candidate is a native of Odisha.
- The candidate has completed his/her class 12th examination from Odisha.
- The parent of the candidate is working at Government of Odisha / Government of India / Government of India Undertakings and Government of Odisha Undertakings located in Odisha at the time of application. The candidate has to furnish a certificate in the prescribed format.
Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST)
- SC/ST candidates who are natives of Odisha are eligible for these categories.
- Candidates applying for SC/ST reserved category shall furnish SC/ST certificate along with an Odisha nativity certificate from the Tahasildar of the place of birth in Odisha at the time of document verification.
Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW)
- The parents of the candidate should have an annual income of less than Rs. 8.00 lakhs (Rupees Eight lakhs only) from all sources during the last financial year.
- The candidate should be a native of Odisha.
- Candidates applying under the TFW scheme shall furnish an Income certificate of parents from local Tahasildar issued not earlier than April 2022 along with an Odisha nativity certificate.
- The waiver is limited to the tuition fee only. All other fees except the tuition fee will have to be paid by the beneficiary.
Green Card (GC)
- The candidate should be a native of Odisha.
- The candidate must produce the Green card of his/her parents issued by the Family Welfare Department, Government of Odisha in original at the time of document verification.
Physically Challenged (PC)
- The candidate should be a native of Odisha.
- The candidates with at least 40% disabilities in consonance with section-39 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full participation) Act, 1995.
- The candidate has to submit the disability certificate from the competent authority of Govt. of Odisha not below the rank of CDMO along with Odisha nativity certificate.
Ex-Servicemen (ES)
- The candidate should be a native of Odisha.
- Either of the candidate’s parents is an Ex-Serviceman.
- To claim reservation under this category, a candidate has to furnish a certificate in the prescribed format.
Students from Odisha Govt. high schools and colleges (GH)
- The candidate should have passed the 10th board examination under the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha from Govt. high schools.
- The candidate should also have passed the 12th board exam under the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha
from any Govt. Higher Secondary School/ Govt. Junior College.
Economically Weaker Section (EWS)
- The candidate must must submit EWS Certificate (Income and Asset Certificate) from Tahsildar/ Additional Tahsildar to avail seats in EWS category.
Womens’ Quota
- The candidate should be a native of Odisha.

Admissions will be based on the All India Rank obtained in JEE (Main) 2023 examination.

The prescribed registration fee for IIIT-BH Admissions (Odisha category) is ₹1000.
Registration
- The registration for IIIT-BH Admissions (Odisha category) will begin on May 19, 2023.
- The last date to register is June 19, 2023.

Odisha Category (50% Seats)
- Visit the SBI collect website to pay the non-refundable Application Fee online using Credit/ Debit Card/ Net Banking.
- Select State as “Odisha”, Type of Corporate/Institution as “Educational Institutions”, and click on “Go”. Choose “International Institute of Information Technology” and click on “Submit”.
- Select the payment category as “Application Fees” and fill in the basic information. Mention your JEE Main Application number in the Application ID field.
- Pay the application fee and save the generated receipt for any future reference.
- Visit the IIIT Bhubaneswar Admissions website and click on “Apply Online under Odisha State Category”.
- Fill the application form and click on Submit.
- After submitting the online application form, the filled-in data will be sent to your email id. Save that for future reference.
Document Verification
JoSAA Counselling (50% Seats)
The document verification for JoSAA Counselling shall be done on the date of reporting at the respective Reporting centers as per the JoSAA guidelines. Know more here.
Odisha Category (50% Seats)
- The document verification for Odisha category candidates shall be done for the candidates who are provisionally allotted a seat in online mode after each round of provisional allotment.
- The uploaded documents by the candidates against their claimed category shall be verified. In case of any discrepancy, candidates shall be asked to send the documents again by a specified date.

Odisha Category (50% Seats)
- Allotment of seats shall be done based upon the preference of branches exercised by candidates.
- Provisional admissions will be offered in the order of merit list generated in different categories to candidates.
- An Odisha category candidate may belong to different subcategories. Thus, he/she shall be allotted a seat considering the best possible availability (in terms of choices exercised by the candidate) among different categories.

Odisha Category (50% Seats)
- After each round of seat allotment, candidates who are provisionally allotted a seat for the first time are required to upload the relevant documents for document verification.
- After successful document verification, the candidates are required to deposit a refundable admission confirmation fee of Rs. 50,000 (within a specified date) which will be adjusted along with the 1st semester dues.
- The soft copy of the payment proof needs to be sent to [email protected] along with the candidate’s full name, application ID, JEE Main Application number, and seat acceptance status (as freeze or upgrade).
- Nonpayment of admission acceptance fee shall result in cancelation of candidature from the admission process.
- Depending on the vacancy created due to non-acceptance of admission, branch upgrading shall be applied for all the confirmed candidates with upgrade status.
- A candidate can opt not to upgrade his/her present seat allotted to him/her by stating “freeze” in the seat acceptance status while sending the soft copy of the payment proof.
- Once a candidate opts for the “freeze” option, he/she shall not be considered for further branch upgrading in the coming provisional seat allotment rounds.

Odisha Category (50% Seats)
- A candidate who wants to withdraw is required to send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “I want to withdraw from B.Tech. Admission” from his/her registered email id mentioning his/her full name, application ID, JEE Main Application number, and reasons for his/her withdrawal.
- If a candidate, who is offered admission in a certain round and has paid the admission fee, withdraws during the rounds of allotment except the last round, he/she will be refunded the entire amount after a deduction of Rs.1000.
- If a candidate, who has been offered admission in a certain round and has paid the admission fee, withdraws after the publication of the last round, he/she will only be refunded the caution deposit of Rs.13,000.
- Refunds shall be made in the 1st week of January 2024 after the admission process is over.
